Current Open Positions

Building Custodian
Principal Purpose: Maintain the building by ensuring that all areas of the building are cleaned, i.e. sanctuary, classrooms, fellowship hall, restrooms, offices, and hallways; all trash is placed in dumpster; floors are swept, mopped, waxed and buffed; supplies are replenished and stocked; all repairs are reported; additional duties as assigned. Church Treasurer
Principal Purpose: Performs professional accounting work including analyzing and verifying fiscal records and reports; preparing financial and statistical reports; providing information to Church Staff regarding accounting practices and procedures and reconciling general ledger accounts; assist in preparing the Church's annual and midyear budget; prepares year-end reports and schedules; train and provide technical advice to board members; performs related work as required. Financial Secretary
Principal Purposes: The Financial Secretary is responsible for maintaining accurate records of individual member's contributions and special donations by posting offering and donations in the Automated Church System; mail quarterly and annual statement of contributions to each contributor; complete the weekly financial reports based on information received from counters; provided statistical financial data as requested by Treasurer, finance committee; perform other duties as assigned. Apply for the Eric Carmichael Scholarship of $1,000!


The Eric Carmichael Scholarship Fund was established by Kindall Hudgins and Albert Carmichael in honor of Eric Carmichael, dedicated member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. This fund is to assist in need or meritorious individuals seeking to attend an accredited institution of higher learning.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Be an active member of Tabernacle Baptist Church for at least 6 months prior to April 1, 2025 or a permanent resident of Franklin County in Ohio
  • Be currently enrolled at a local high school as a graduating senior or enrolled at a United States' college, university, or seminary as a full-time (12 semester hours or equivalent) undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior or be a full-time graduate student (9 semester hours or equivalent) enrolled or accepted into a master's-level program
  • Must meet minimum GPA requirement of 2.3
  • Submit completed scholarship application materials by June 15, 2025 to the address below
